Pentel Color Brush

This is my latest portrait with my latest tools - Pentel Color Brushes. I like the feel of it but I still have to see how to do larger areas and if it is possible to mix colors. Have you used those in the past?

Pencil Portraits

I'd better start posting the portraits that I did during the last few weeks.

Both were for the Julia Kay Portrait Party, nothing special but I am glad I got those fit in my full program. It's  easy to lose momentum when too many other things are going on.

Delta Doodles

One flight was delayed by nearly two hours AFTER we had boarded the plane. We were allowed to get off the plane but then would have needed to go through the whole boarding process again.

I decided to stay and have fun with some portraits, but people moved too quickly (for my taste). So, the following are more fantasy than real portraits. But I had fun.

Partly it was a way of learning to use the different tools of the software. Good practice.

My first digital One

Sorry, for my long absence. I did some drawings over the last few weeks but did not have the time to upload and post them.
Here is my first digital drawing - a portrait for the Julia Kay Portrait Party. I have a Windows 7 tablet and tested the Sketchbook Pro software. It was a lot of fun. However, I had one problem that kept me from being satisfied with it - the first line after changing the tools was always much thicker than any consecutive  line with the same tool. Very strange. Meanwhile I have downloaded several other softwares for testing but did not yet have enough time to do so.

I would love to hear from others who do digital painting, especially those who also work on a Windows platform. What do you use? What is your experience with it? How do different programs compare?
Any adivice is appreciated!
